The purpose of this research is to develop a discovery instructional module on chemical equilibrium to improve critical thinking skills of senior high school students. This research belongs to research and developments that use Plomp Model with three stages: the preliminary research, prototyping and assessment phase. Assessment phase was conducted in two schools: students with high and low academic ability. The instrument used was critical thinking test consisting of nine essay questions. The results showed that generated discovery learning module on chemical equilibrium was effective to improve critical thinking skills, both for students with high and low academic ability.
