WXKL attenuated [Ca<sup>2+</sup> ]<sub>i</sub> overload induced by hypoxia-reoxygenation in ventricular myocytes through inhibiting I<sub>NaL</sub> and I<sub>CaL</sub> and prevents arrhythmias. This could, at least partly, contribute to the antiarrhythmic effects of WXKL.
