PSILAN (PocketSchool Interactive Learning Ad-hoc Network) is an interactive mobile learning framework designed for both formal and informal education scenarios with a particular consideration of under-resourced school or village settings. This paper describes how mobile innovation features of PSILAN are designed to help educators rapidly develop and easily deploy multiuser game-based mobile learning solutions and also how such solutions could potentially remain as highly viable and sustainable learning options for learners of all ages and regions. For discussions on implementation and evaluation, this paper presents one of mobile interaction applications developed for PSILAN, insights learned from 5th grade students and teachers in a rural Indian village school, and future development plans.
