The accumulation and mechanism of uptake of C14-DDT by Chiorella sp. has been studied tnder various conditions in laboratory cultures. Two different culture systems have been used in this investigation: (I) conventional batch cultures, (II) continuous-flow cultures. Liquid scintillation technique was used in the analytical procedure and two different cleaningup steps were compared. The rate of uptake of C14-DDT was studied in both living and dead cells.
