Abstract

Changes of the properties of fibres after various thermal treatments have been investigated, and it has been found that the amount of change depends on the moisture content and the temperature of treatment. Swelling, moisture absorption, and dye absorption decrease, whilst density increases, as a result of the thermal treatment.
