This article reports on a survey of 5270 students from seminaries and Christian colleges about their participation in short-term missions (who goes, where they go, when and for how long, how much it costs, what size group they travel with, etc.). It examines the implications of these patterns for the way in which missiological learning might be brought into a more constructive relationship with short-term service.
