Direct effects of exercise on kynurenine metabolism in people with normal glucose tolerance or type 2 diabetes

Abstract

Acute exercise directly affects circulating levels of tryptophan, kynurenine and kynurenic acid, providing a potential mechanism for the anti-depressive effects of exercise.
