The laser cladding process involves many processing parameters. We present in this paper a low cost system based on two CCD cameras, a standard acquisition card and a Personal Computer which enables the operator to interact with the process and processing parameters. Geometrical information can be extracted such as the height or the width of the track. Moreover, one of the camera is used to carry out temperature measurements. In addition we present three different methods of measuring the speed of the particles in the powder spray.
