Abstract Chiral pyridines with a fluorine atom in the benzylic position are easily accessible from optically active propargylic fluorides by using the Bohlmann–Rahtz reaction. Such pyridines, possessing four points of molecular diversity, are useful scaffolds for the preparation of chemical libraries.
