Abstract— In the comparative method of determining the triplet quantum yield ø T by laser flash absorption spectroscopy, general equations are established (1) for describing the dependence of ø T with laser intensity and (2) for absolute actionometry of a laser pulse. Applications to specific examples are discussed.
