Abstract

We present a highly selective balanced bandpass filter based on solidly mounted bulk acoustic wave (BAW) technology. The filter consists of four BAW resonators electrically coupled in lattice topology cascaded with three BAW resonators in balanced ladder topology and is fabricated as chip scale package suitable for flip-chip assembly. Impedance transformation from 50 /spl Omega/ to 150 /spl Omega/ is realized. The small size, low in-band insertion loss, sharp roll-off and high stop-band rejection make this filter an ideal choice as Rx filter in wireless communication applications at 2 GHz.
