Abstract

The authors describe an earth field NMR (nuclear magnetic resonance) magnetometer, a field/frequency transducer based on the principle of NMR amplified by using dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP). The double DNP is used to design the sensor as a continuous wave oscillator. The sensor is highly sensitive (10/sup -11/), isotropic, and without thermal drift. It is a useful detector in sectors such as antisubmarine warfare or oil drilling.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
