Abstract

Michael just can't seem to get it! He's a fourth grader who has trouble reading, but more important to him, he has no friends. Hugging boys, speaking loudly, not listening to what others have to say, misinterpreting facial expressions--he never seems to understand the rules of the game. He looks like the other kids, but for some reason his social behavior is off. Except for teasing, his classmates want nothing to do with him.
