MADE: a multimedia application development environment

Abstract

MADE is the acronym for an ESPRIT III project aimed at developing a programming environment for multimedia applications. The resulting software library is based on C++ and will operate on both UNIX workstations and PC-based platforms. This paper gives a technical overview of the project and describes a number of application scenarios where the MADE environment will provide significant help for multimedia programming.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">&gt;</ETX>
