Measurement of Transport and Inelastic Scattering Cross Sections for Fast Neutrons. II. Experimental Results

Abstract

Measurements of poor geometry scattering and back scattering are described for neutrons of energies of 0.2, 0.6, 1.5, and 3 Mev. The following materials were investigated: C, Be, ${\mathrm{B}}^{10}$, ${\mathrm{B}}^{11}$, BeO, Al, Fe, Cu, Co, Ni, Ta, W, Au, and Pb. Values of the cross sections for inelastic scattering and the transport cross sections are given for these materials.
