Deep Inelastic Scattering
Deep Inelastic Scattering is a high-energy scattering process, belonging to the class of particle interaction phenomena, in which a lepton or photon probe scatters off a hadron at large momentum transfer, thereby resolving and inelastically exciting its internal quark and gluon structure governed by Quantum Chromodynamics.
