The numbers of six species of nematodes present on twelve crops were determined 15 weeks after inoculation. Paratylenchus projectus multiplied well under clovers and birdsfoot trefoil, Helicotylenchus digonicus under small grain cereals, Pratylenchus neglectus under small grain cereals and forage grasses, P. penetrans under nine of the twelve crops, and Meloidogyne hapla and Heterodera trifolii under clovers. Forage plant mixtures and rotations are discussed.
