ABSTRACT THE airflow resistance of Bluestem grass seed was measured for three different harvest dates at 17 to 79 percent MC, 10 to 17 percent purity, and 50 to 120 kg/m3 bulk density and compared with 63 percent purity seed stored from a previous crop. In a plot of Shedd's equation, bulk density was found to influence the slope and moisture content the intercept value. Purity in-fluences bulk density, which is the major parameter affecting airflow resistance.
