Variables Associated With 7-Day, 30-Day, and 1-Year Fatality After Ischemic Stroke

Abstract

Stroke severity and certain processes of care were associated with case fatality at 7 days, 30 days, and 1 year after stroke. This information may be useful for comparing risk-adjusted case-fatality rates among hospitals and for implementing strategies to improve the processes and quality of care in the acute phase of stroke.
