This brief statement contains the report of a successful use of a Piagetian, pencil-and-paper questionnaire with 232 junior high pupils. Indications of the successful application of the instrument were: (a) findings which agreed with those of other workers, and (b) a 77% agreement in classification between conversation-interview and questionnaire techniques.
