RNA Synthesis (Transcription)With the exception of a tiny fraction in the mitochondria, all the RNA is probably transcribed in the nucleus, though it appears in various forms throughout the cell. Of the total RNA 5 to 10 per cent is nuclear, including several classes that are precursors of cytoplasmic RNA's.
