Syntheses of 1-Substituted (SS)-3-p-Tolylsulfinyl-1,4-dihydropyridines, Chiral NADH Model Compounds

Abstract

SS)-3-(p-Tolylsulfinyl)-1.4-dihydropyridines with various kinds of substituents on the N-l position were synthesized from (SS)-I-lithio-3-(ptolylsulfinyl)-1.4-dihydropyridine, which was generated on reaction of the 1benzoyl derivative with methyllithium.
