A New Method for Texture Fields Synthesis: Some Applications to the Study of Human Vision

Abstract

We present a general method to synthesize a stochastic process from its a priori given second-order statistics. Some new results, including a new conjecture dealing with visual discrimination of stochastic texture fields, are also given.
