We have used fast-ion-beam laser spectroscopy to measure the hyperfine structure of 36 transitions in Pr II in the wavelength range 420460 nm, obtaining the hyperfine constants of 8 odd-parity levels in the range 05079 cm 1 and 32 even-parity levels in the range 22 04028 578 cm 1 with a typical accuracy of 0.2%. These will find useful application in stellar elemental abundance studies. PACS Nos.: 32.30-r, 32.10-f
