Stellar Structure is a subfield of stellar astrophysics that analyzes the internal, typically quasi-static configuration of a star—specified by the radial distribution of mass, pressure, temperature, composition, and energy transport— as determined by hydrostatic equilibrium, the equation of state, and energy generation mechanisms.
