In one study of Hodgkin's disease in women 15 to 50 years old, the incidence of pregnancy was as high as 33 per cent (1). In a second group, no difference was found in the frequency of pregnancy in Hodgkin's disease patients when compared with age-corrected normal controls (2). In the treatment of a young woman with active Hodgkin's disease, one may be faced with the problem of how to destroy the proliferating malignancy while doing no harm to the rapidly mitotic fetus.
