Abstract Results of magnetoabsorption measurements for CdMnTe mixed crystals on extremely thin samples (≦ 1 μm) are presented. The complex structure of the exciton transition is observed. The qualitative interpretation of the full spectrum and quantitative theory of the ground state splitting is presented.
