NaHCO3–soluble portion of the ether extract of the defatted leaves of K. pinnata furnished p–coumaric, ferulic, syringic and caffeic acids by preparative chromatography. In addition, p–hydroxybenzoic acid was also detected. NaOH–soluble portion of the NaHCOs extracted ether extract gave quercetin and kaempferol. The characterization of the constituents was based on Chromatographie and spectral studies.
