Spectral width of saturated absorption spectra of Cs with a laser diode

Abstract

The saturated absorption spectra and line widths of the Cs-D <inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</inf> line were observed as a function of the incident power. A minimum spectral width of 20 MHz was obtained when the incident power was under 0.1 mW and all of the hyperfine spectral lines and the cross-over resonance lines were resolved.
