Abstract

Summary Following a highly dramatic and disturbing incident affecting two classes in a girls’ secondary school, a team of psychologists and social workers counselled pupils in the aftermath. Data from an ‘Impact of Events’ scale was collected soon after the incident and six months later. The results from this and implications for LEAs and psychological services are discussed.
