Abstract

Cubic gallium nitride (zinc blende type) was formed by reactions of Ga, gallium iodides, and gallium imide−iodides in supercritical ammonia under acidic conditions above 250 °C. Solvothermal transport and recrystallization of c-GaN occurred above 440 °C.
