Summary A new allele Tf c in serum transferrin of goats is postulated. It was considered that serum transferrins in goats classified into six phenotypes are genetically controlled by three codominant alleles, Tf A , Tf B and Tf c . Frequencies of Tf c were low in native goats in Korea, Philipines and Thailand, and this allele is yet to be observed in other breeds of goats.
