Abstract

After assessing seven personality variables (achievement, orientation), surveying dietary habits, and studying the Gordon Personal Profile and Inventory of 100 executive level businessmen, we found that only "Drive" and "Range of Activities" showed a significant positive correlation with plasma uric acid levels. The sample group had a higher mean level of plasma uric acid than a group of controls. No positive correlation was shown between dietary intake and plasma uric acid levels. On the scales of the Gordon Profile and Inventory, the only significant finding was a negative correlation between plasma uric acid level and "Responsibility."
