The Effect of Seeding Rate and Rate of Nitrogen Application on Winter Wheat Varieties with Different Characteristics<sup>1</sup>

Synopsis Varieties showed a different yield response to seeding rates and to rates of nitrogen application. This response did not seem to be correlated with varietal morphological characteristics. Variety selection controlled more agronomic characteristics than either rate of nitrogen application or rate of seeding.
