Abstract

Cognitive symptoms are prevalent in PBC independent of liver disease severity and are associated with poorer performance on objective cognitive testing. Cognitive impairment is, in turn, associated with structural brain lesions and autonomic dysfunction, which may predict risk of cognitive decline.
