The repression of terror by Vietnam veterans is a process which also results in the repression of meaning. Such meaning repression can profoundly disrupt marital bonding and marital intimacy. In this article the method of existential reflection as it can be used with Vietnam veterans in marital therapy to increase meaning awareness is described and is illustrated by case material.
