The agostic interaction between the alkenyl CH groups and the Zr centers is the most notable feature of the dinuclear complex 1, which is formed from the alkyne complex [Cp2Zr(thf)(Me3SiCCSiMe3)] upon thermal loss of THF. In this transformation a H atom is transferred from the Cp ligand to the alkyne ligand.
