Die Reihenfolge der Aminosäuren im Protein des Tabakmosaikvirus

Abstract

After tryptic digestion of TMV protein the N-terminal peptide could be isolated by sedimentation between pH 3 and 5. The amino acid sequence was determined by digestion with chymotrypsin and with pepsin and by partial hydrolysis with formic acid. A proposed structure for the peptide is given.
