AbstractWeanling Sprague-Dawley rats were given increasing doses of lactose over a seven-week period. The mid-jejunum was selected for disaccharidase analysis at a pH of 6.0. Lactase and cellobiase activity were stimulated significantly by total mean-paired analysis. While sucrase and maltase tended to increase. there was no statistically significant change.Key-words: Lactaseratssmall intestine
