Microscopically measuring the activity of glucose oxidase (GOD): Microfabricated difunctional AFM–SECM (atomic force microscopy–scanning electrochemical microscopy) tips with integrated micro- and nanoelectrodes (see picture) enable independent, simultaneous investigation of surface topography and enzymatic activity, for example, of the oxidoreductase enzyme GOD, in soft samples in AFM tapping mode.
