In Brief This study compared the incidence of adenoma and carcinoma in the anorectal segment after either mucosectomy and manual or stapled ileoanal anastomosis for FAP. The risk of adenoma is lower after mucosectomy and handsewn anastomosis. Regular endoscopic surveillance after either technique is mandatory.
