An experimental research of thermal and optical bleaching in the chalcogenide vitreous semiconductors of the As–Se system and in elemental vitreous selenium hasbeen carried out. A strong dependence of the bleaching features on the ratio of the components is shown. To explain the bleaching process the configurational model of two states (ground one and metastable one) between which optical and thermal transitions can occur is proposed. [Russian Text Ignored].
