Increased Production of 17β-Estradiol in Endometriosis Lesions Is the Result of Impaired Metabolism

Abstract

Endometriotic lesions have higher production of 17beta-estradiol than the eutopic endometrium of patients and controls. This is mostly the result of impaired metabolism.
