Data are presented describing the presence of white ethnic groups within secondary labor markets. High scores of racial intolerance among certain ethnic groups appear to be strongly associated with that group's employment situation. Generally, the data confirm the idea that ethnic groups which directly compete with blacks for employment opportunities in secondary labor markets are more racially intolerant than ethic groups employed in primary labor markets. Racial tolerance and intolerance among white groups are explained as social psychological products of labor market conditions.
