Photoinduced optical anisotropy in chalcogenide vitreous semiconducting films

The optical anisotropy induced in films of some chalcogenide vitreous semiconductors (ChVS) by linearly polarized light is studied. The spectral responses of the photoinduced dichroism are compared with the transmission spectra of the illuminated films. The phenomenon of photoinduced anisotropy is associated with the existence of highly-dispersed, optically anisotropic structure elements in the isotropic (on the average) ChVS films. Es wird mittels polarisiertem Licht die optische Anisotropie untersucht, die in Schichten von einigen glasartigen Chalkogenidhalbleitern (ChVS) induziert wird. Die spektrale Response des photoinduzierten Dichroismus wird mit den Transmissionsspektren der belichteten Schichten verglichen. Das Phänomen der photoinduzierten Anisotropie ist mit der Existenz von hochdispersiven, optisch anisotropen Strukturelementen in den (im Mittel) isotropen ChVS-Schichten verknüpft.
