Abstract

Synopsis Potash greatly increased yields of legumes and percent legume in grass‐legume mixtures. Legume percentage was increased almost 100% in mixtures containing ladino clover by high potash fertilization. Birdsfoot trefoil was the only legume which produced significantly more under low lime levels than under high lime and also increased in legume composition of the forage.
