Electrical and Optical Properties of Reduced Stannic Oxide Crystals

Abstract

Undoped SnO2 single crystals are heat-treated in vacuum for the purpose to "reduce" the crystals. Hall effect and free carrier absorption are measured on the reduced crystals. The experimental results are interpreted satisfactorily with the concept of degenerate semiconductor.
