The effect of dithiodimorpholine (DTDM) and tetraethyl thiuram disulfide (TETD) on the properties of styrene‐butadiene‐styrene triblock copolymer (SBS) modified asphalts were investigated via rheological measurements. In the presence of DTDM and TETD, the rheological properties were pronouncedly elevated, especially when both of them were added. The content and ratio were two important impacts that should be carefully chosen. It is observed that network structure easily formed as both of DTDM and TETD were added into SBS‐modified asphalts in a proper content. The complex viscosity and modulus increased, while phase angle decreased with a plateau. As a result, storage stability and high temperature ability were enhanced. It is reasonable to believe that the mixture of DTDM and TETD is a good additive of SBS‐modified asphalts. POLYM. COMPOS., 37:943–948, 2016. © 2014 Society of Plastics Engineers
