The ability to manage a supply chain flexibly and responsively is essential to competitive advantage, particularly for small and medium‐sizes enterprises (SMEs) that lack the economies of scale of larger firms. An examination of the relationship among organizational culture, information technology (IT) competence, and supply chain agility leads to a conceptual framework that can help SMEs structure their business strategies and practices to keep them aligned with market changes. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
