:This article considers the utilization of the methodology LeanSigma® to transform an organization from a batch to a lean manufacturing environment. Through the transformation, performance measurement systems of batch manufacturing and lean manufacturing are discussed and contrasted. To demonstrate the transformation process, a case study is presented to address the change issues in culture, thinking, systems, and processes. A family of measures focusing on critical performance metrics and an adaptive performance measurement system is presented in this article. As a result of this transformation process, the organization experienced increased productivity, lower setup times, and less space required for manufacturing.
